Started this thread on other boards and figured it'd make more sense than starting a thread for every movie I watch. Watch too many damned movies.

Django Unchained (2012) - Have seen every Tarantino film since Pulp Fiction in the theater. (even Jackie Brown ) This one was a really fun action movie and pretty funny. Wouldn't see it if you can't take hearing the "N" word though. Christopher Waltz and Di Caprio were both great in this one. It was a bit overly long though.

Hot Rod (2007) - I found this one fairly amusing. Wasn't expecting much, but good for a couple laughs.

Alter Egos (2012) - Billed as a comedy. Was more of a superhero drama. My feelings on this one are mixed. It was a bit goofy in places; but overall it was interesting to see someone doing something different and less "edgy" with the genre. Also liked the fact the costumes were spandex for once and not Cgi in every shot. Though the mask of the main character was pretty terrible.

Northfork (2003) - Normally I'm a fan of weird cinema. This one just fell kinda flat for me.

Total Recall (2012) - Colin Farrel, Jessica Biel; and Kate Beckingsale in the leads? Yeah I knew I was in trouble when old Schwarzenegger can out-act all three of them combined. The movie itself was a cgi heavy, uninspired yawn fest to be honest. Had trouble paying attention to it.

Lincoln-  Loved it but I'm a history buff.

This is 40-  Sucked ass.  drug on and on.  hated it

Total Recall- not bad for a dollar rental

I really want to see Argo and the Hobbit, but I'm leaning toward waiting for both of them to come to the Redbox.

Oh yeah - the Hobbit - also loved it!

Stake Land (2011) - Part zombie movie, part vampire flick. One of the best horror movies I've seen in a while. Probably since Let the Right One In. Very dark and depressing film though. Good stuff.

Mulberry Street (2008) - From the same people who made Stake Land. About killer rats/rat monsters in NY. Very claustrophobic and like Stake Land very atmosperic. One of the better After Dark Horror Fest films.

Killer Klowns from Outerspace (1988) - Haven't seen it in a while, but have started working my way through the DVD collection with the wife. (only so many times you can say "You haven't seen ____?" KKfO gets a bit more dated each time I watch it to be honest, but it's still a fun little 80s B horror flick.

God Bless America (2011) - Amusing enough movie about a disgruntled older guy and a disgruntled youn girl who get tired of modern society and start shooting reality tv stars. Or maybe I just hate reality tv and am biased. Was a big disturbing at times due to recent events in CT, etc. though.

Tenderness (2008) - I'm a Russell Crowe fan, which is why I ended up watching this one. Funny how few of his movies hit the theaters lately. (Kevin Spacey and Edward Norton too ) Decent enough movie about a cop who follows a man around after he's released from prison at 18. Bit of a road movie, with a pretty bleak ending.

ATM (2012) - It had an okay premise; but wasn't anything original. Pretty forgettable overall.

Watched Dredd yesterday while home sick, and felt it was a let down.  Had heard good things about it but there were no twists or turns to really keep me all that interested.  I'll still get it for my comic dvd collection, but not until it deeply discounted.

Took the girls to see Oz The Great And Powerful tonight.  meh.  so bummed out that this didn't blow me away.  Had some good stuff, but other things just bugged me enough to make seeing it one time enough.

Has anyone seen "Todd and The Book of Pure Evil"? Bloody great series that finished way too soon.
